Job Title: Water Resources Expert

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled water resources expert to conduct an endline evaluation of a project aimed at improving access to clean drinking water and environmental sanitation in marginalized urban communities.

The consultant will assess the extent of activity and outcome achievement, evaluate the project against key criteria, identify strengths, weaknesses, constraints, and challenges, and highlight lessons learned for future programming.

The primary objective is to generate credible, evidence-based findings to inform decision-making and improve future planning. The ideal candidate should have expertise in WASH sector evaluations and research, with a proven track record of producing high-quality assessment reports.

Scope of Work:

  • Conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the project, focusing on achievement of outcomes and overall performance.
  • Assess the extent of activity and outcome achievement, evaluating the project against key criteria.
  • Identify strengths, weaknesses, constraints, and challenges, highlighting lessons learned for future programming.

Expected Deliverables:

  • An inception report outlining methodology, work plan, and timelines.
  • Contextualized data collection and analysis tools.
  • Completed survey questionnaires, consent forms, and qualitative notes.
  • Electronic copies of raw and final datasets.
  • A high-quality final report with analysis and endline values.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in evaluations and research related to WASH sector.
  • Proven track record of producing high-quality assessment reports for international organizations.
