Expert Project Manager - Cost Control Specialist
This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced quantity surveyor to take on a key role in the management of construction projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cost management, tendering, and contract administration.
Main Responsibilities:
- Cost Management: Develop detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects, ensuring accurate analysis and monitoring of project costs.
- Tendering and Procurement: Manage the tendering process, including preparation of tender documents, bid analysis, and contractor selection. Negotiate contracts and subcontracts to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
- Contract Administration: Administer and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions. Handle contractual disputes and claims effectively.
- Risk Management: Identify and assess project risks related to cost, time, and quality. Develop risk mitigation strategies and implement them throughout the project lifecycle.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor junior quantity surveyors and other team members, conducting performance reviews and providing training opportunities.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, reports, and correspondence.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., MRICS, FRICS) is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Leadership and team management abilities.
