Key Responsibilities
  • Escalation & Troubleshooting: Final point of contact for complex server, hosting, and network-related issues. Diagnose and resolve system failures, network outages, and performance issues.
  • LINUX Server Administration: Manage, optimize, and secure Linux-based environments. Administer and fine-tune web servers, databases, and caching layers. Build and deploy servers from scratch, ensuring optimal configurations for performance and security.
  • Automation & DevOps: Develop automation scripts for server provisioning and configuration management. Use tools like Ansible, Terraform, or similar for automating deployments.
  • Cloud & Virtualization: Deploy containerized environments. Support cloud-based hosting solutions.
  • Security & Compliance: Implement best practices, including firewall rules, SELinux/AppArmor, IDS/IPS. Perform vulnerability assessments and patch management to secure environments.
  • Monitoring & Incident Response: Set up monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, Nagios. Participate in on-call rotation for urgent issues.
  • Collaboration & Mentoring: Work closely with teams to ensure smooth operations. Provide guidance and mentorship to support engineers.
Requirements
  • 11+ years hands-on LINUX administration experience in a web hosting or cloud environment.
  • 7+ years Senior position or Level 3 Engineer role experience.
  • MUST be KVM expert with minimum 7+ yrs experience.
  • Expert knowledge of technologies (cPanel, Plesk, WHM, LAMP stacks).
  • Strong scripting ability in Perl, Bash, Python.
  • Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
  • Networking expertise – TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, Firewalls, Load Balancing understanding.
  • Familiarity with RAID, SAN, NAS, distributed storage systems.
  • 24/7 production environment experience with on-call duties.
  • Ability to build and configure servers from scratch.
  • Certifications like RHCE are beneficial.
  • Good English Communication Skill.
