Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

About the Role:

This is a mid-senior level position that involves developing and implementing test strategies, plans, and cases. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience in QA automation or a related field, with hands-on experience in Cypress and proficiency in scripting languages like JavaScript, TypeScript, Bash, and Shell.

The role requires strong communication skills, the ability to prioritize workload effectively, and remain professional under pressure. A high level of customer empathy, good email etiquette, and grammar are also essential.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop test strategy, plans, and test cases.
  • Participate in meetings regarding software requirements.
  • Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.
  • Build test automation frameworks.
  • Design, write, and execute automated tests.
  • Maximize test coverage for the most critical features of the system.
  • Perform manual testing for products.
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs.
  • Communicate and share information about issues and problems.
  • Create reports of test progress and results.
  • Participate in the setup of continuous integration.

Key Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of QA automation or relevant experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Cypress is required.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like JavaScript, TypeScript, Bash, Shell.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload effectively.
  • Remain professional under pressure.
  • High level of customer empathy.
  • Good email etiquette and grammar.
