VASL is a leading organization seeking a talented Entry-Level Accountant to join our team as a Bookkeeping Associate. This role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in key accounting functions such as bookkeeping, financial reporting, payroll processing, and client communication.

As a Bookkeeping Associate, you will work closely with international clients, gaining exposure to US accounting standards (GAAP) and advanced accounting software. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Managing end-to-end bookkeeping for multiple clients, ensuring timely invoicing and payments.
  2. Conducting basic reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and other accounts.
  3. Liaising with clients regarding financial matters, shadowing senior team members in client meetings.
  4. Assisting with payroll processing and compliance under the guidance of senior accountants.
  5. Preparing financial statements and analyzing data under the supervision of senior accountants.

Qualifications:

  • AACCA, CA (PQ/ Qualified)
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and a strong desire to learn
  • Familiarity with accounting software like QuickBooks or Xero is a plus
  • Proficiency in Excel and a willingness to develop technical skills
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude
