Environmental Sustainability Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as an Environmental Sustainability Specialist. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental sustainability, with a proven track record of success in developing and implementing sustainable practices.

About the Role

The Environmental Sustainability Specialist will be responsible for assisting in the gathering, verification, and analysis of ESG-related data across business units. This will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to support the development of internal ESG dashboards and metrics tracking, as well as supporting stakeholder engagement exercises such as surveys, interviews, and workshops.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for assisting in materiality assessments and periodic ESG strategy updates, as well as supporting ESG-related initiatives such as carbon footprint reduction and supply chain sustainability.

To be considered for this role, candidates must have a minimum of 16 years of education, preferably from a renowned and recognized university or institution, in any/or combination of the disciplines. A minimum of 3-4 years of professional experience, preferably in a large national/multinational organization with at least 1-2 years of related functional experience in a similar role at an equivalent position, is also required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in gathering, verifying, and analyzing ESG-related data across business units
  • Contribute to the preparation of sustainability disclosures (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD, CDP, UNGC)
  • Support development of internal ESG dashboards and metrics tracking
  • Support stakeholder engagement exercises, including surveys, interviews, and workshops
  • Assist in materiality assessments and periodic ESG strategy updates
  • Support ESG-related initiatives such as carbon footprint reduction and supply chain sustainability etc
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ESG project implementation
  • Track project timelines and assist with reporting on ESG initiative progress
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Familiarity with key ESG standards and frameworks (e.g., GRI, TCFD, SASB, SDGs, CDP)
  • Strong analytical and research skills; proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is essential
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively across teams
  • Passion for sustainability and responsible business practices
