Key Roles and Responsibilities:The position of Fundraising Manager is focused on spearheading sponsorship and fundraising efforts. To achieve this, the ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and securing sponsors for lacrosse events, training programs, and international competitions.
- Sponsorship Acquisition: Identify, approach, and secure sponsors through effective communication and relationship-building with corporate partners, philanthropic organizations, and individual donors.
- Fundraising Strategy: Develop a comprehensive fundraising strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives, utilizing innovative approaches to maximize fundraising potential.
- Proposal Development: Create compelling sponsorship proposals and presentations that effectively communicate the value of supporting lacrosse initiatives.
- Event Coordination: Collaborate with event organizers to ensure sponsor needs and expectations are met during lacrosse events, facilitating sponsor branding and promotional activities.
- Reporting and Analysis: Track and report on fundraising activities, sponsorship agreements, and financial targets, providing regular updates to leadership on progress and challenges.
- Proven experience in fundraising, sponsorship acquisition, or sales, preferably within the sports industry or non-profit sector.
- A strong network of contacts within the corporate sector, philanthropic organizations, or relevant industries.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create persuasive proposals and presentations.
- Self-motivated with a strong drive to achieve targets.
- Familiarity with lacrosse or a strong interest in sports is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
