At Stmasters, we are seeking a talented Visual Storyteller to join our team as a Film and Video Editor. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling recorded footage into a finished project that meets the director's vision and is suitable for broadcasting.

Responsibilities
  • We are looking for someone who can manipulate and edit film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience.
  • You will need to take a brief to grasp the production team's needs and specifications.
  • Reviewing the shooting script and raw material will help you create a shot decision list based on scenes' value and contribution to continuity.
  • Trimming footage segments and putting together the sequence of the film is a crucial part of this role.
  • Inputting music, dialogues, graphics, and effects will bring the project to life.
  • You will be responsible for creating rough and final cuts.
  • Ensuring logical sequencing and smooth running is essential for a successful project.
  • You will consult with stakeholders from production to post-production process.
  • Staying up-to-date with new editing technologies and industry best practices will maximize efficiency.
Requirements
  • A proven work experience as a Film and Video Editor is required.
  • Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, AfterEffects, and Final Cut) is necessary.
  • Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio is essential.
  • Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity is required.
  • Familiarity with special effects, 3D, and compositing is an advantage.
  • A creative mind and storytelling skills are essential for success in this role.
  • A BS degree in film studies, cinematography, or a related field is preferred.
