Job Title

A forward-thinking company is seeking a skilled Senior Web Developer to spearhead the development and maintenance of dynamic websites.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional expertise in PHP, MySQL, and WordPress, with a strong focus on creating custom front-end designs and themes.

As a senior web developer, your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and deploy robust and scalable web applications using cutting-edge technologies.

Required skills include:

  1. Deep knowledge of WordPress & WooCommerce architecture
  2. Experience working with frameworks like React / Angular
  3. Expertise in building great interfaces with an outstanding user experience in mind
  4. Proficiency in coding valid HTML5 and CSS3 markup
  5. Ability to integrate with server-side code to produce dynamic pages
  6. Strong understanding of Web Accessibility
  7. Experience working with version control systems especially GIT
  8. Ability to build sites to at least an AA standard
  9. Experience with various AJAX techniques to improve U/X
  10. Knowledge of HTML Email best practices desirable
  11. Sound knowledge of how the Web works and the role of Domain Name Servers, Scripting Languages, Web servers, Databases, and the HTTP/S Protocols
  12. Familiarity with Dedicated Servers, Cloud Servers, Web Control Panels (for e.g. cPanel), SSH, and the FTP Protocol
  13. Understanding of U/X Design and ability to place yourself in the user's shoes
  14. Act as the first line of defense for Quality Assurance
  15. Self-driven with a strong desire to excel and have the ability to work independently
  16. Fluent enough in English to respond to tickets and write basic emails for clients, project managers, and QA
  17. Possess excellent programming and analytical abilities – Must be way above average
  18. At least 3 years of relevant experience
  19. Strong concepts in Query Optimization and Relational and non-Relational Databases (MySQL/MariaDB and MongoDB)
  20. Contribute to company development standards working closely with DevOps and Quality Assurance
  21. Actively participate in technical discussions with Project Managers and help provide innovative solutions
  22. Maintain a high awareness of industry issues and trends, particularly with regards to accessibility, usability, and emerging technologies, and keep team members informed as appropriate, with a view to incorporating these in future projects and staying ahead of the market
  23. Constantly try to develop yourself by learning new technologies and keep abreast of cutting-edge work
