Financial Data Analyst Position

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial data, ensuring its accuracy and reliability. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing data structures, refining, and categorizing data to meet the requirements of investment portfolios.
  • Collecting data from various sources, aligning it on a uniform basis, and consolidating it for meaningful analysis.
  • Manually downloading bulk reports from different systems, categorizing them into meaningful data for stakeholders, and checking/monitoring data feeds.
  • Updating manual prices for relevant securities and maintaining correct categorization of securities.
  • Providing data statistics and analysis on a monthly basis or as required by management.
  • Monitoring the KYC module and notifying compliance of any upcoming expiration of documents.
  • Highlighting errors and inefficiencies in the system and performing necessary changes to remove errors.
  • Producing daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports as per business requirements.
  • Investigating data/performance-related queries raised by the team.
  • Producing weekly meeting minutes for the team meeting.
  • Continuously working on improving data workflows across various departments.

Systems Utilized:

  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel Advanced Level, Word & PowerPoint)
  • Microsoft Teams
  • Bloomberg

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree from a recognized university with majors in Financial Data Management, Accounting, Finance, Banking, or Management.
  • A minimum of 4-5 years of experience handling and working on bulk and unstructured data, data visualization at a banking or financial institution or finance department of a reputed organization.
  • Strong knowledge of MS-Office (Outlook, Excel Advanced Level, Word & PowerPoint).
  • Good working knowledge of Data Management tools.
  • Minimum 2 years of prior experience working on any management software or Accounting Software or Data Management System.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English.
  • Self-starter and motivated.
  • Willing to work as part of a team.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and a proactive approach.
  • Person with intelligent working style & habits.
