We are seeking a skilled professional who can review inpatient medical records and assign accurate ICD-10-CM and PCS codes for diagnoses and procedures.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Reviewing medical records to assign accurate ICD-10-CM and PCS codes
  2. Assigning and sequencing codes accurately based on medical record documentation
  3. Correctly applying POA indicators
  4. Demonstrating a thorough understanding and application of medical necessity, DRGs, APGs, and APRs
  5. Adhering to coding clinics and guidelines, and querying physicians as needed for clarification
  6. Maintaining regular account status checks and following up with leaders when necessary
  7. Having knowledge of 3M coding and abstracting software, PCI, and Meditech systems

  2. Technical Round: Evaluating the candidate's technical skills and knowledge in medical coding and billing

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A graduation degree from a recognized institution
  • Certification in CCS or CIC
  • At least 1-2 years' experience in medical coding and billing systems, medical terminologies, regulatory requirements, auditing concepts, and principles
Job Description

This is a full-time position that requires working from the office.

The selected candidate will be responsible for reviewing inpatient medical records and assigning accurate ICD-10-CM and PCS codes for diagnoses and procedures.
