Job Overview

The Senior Manager Nursing role is a critical leadership position that oversees the daily operations of a nursing unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care, managing nursing staff, and coordinating with other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure effective management of paramedical and nursing staff, including deployment and consultation with concerned matrons to ensure 100% compliance with quality nursing standards.
  2. Play a coordinating role between nursing, paramedical staff, consultants, and hospital administration to achieve seamless healthcare delivery.
  3. Monitor nursing healthcare practices through rounds and visits of wards, OPD, ER, OT, checking patients' files, nursing notes, and inventory of medicine to ensure coordination with respective matrons for cleanliness and maintenance of the wards with 100% compliance.
  4. Serve as a member of the board for interviews of nursing staff for all general and critical areas and implement orientation and training programs for new staff.
  5. Supervise and monitor duties of RHS hospitals matrons/nursing in charge.
  6. Maintain close interaction with nursing and paramedical staff to resolve operational and administrative affairs related to the workplace.
  7. Develop and implement approved policies and procedures, conduct regular internal monitoring/audit of healthcare quality standards, patient safety, infection control, and quality assurance of nursing procedures in coordination with the healthcare quality directorate. Suggest improvements as required and collaborate with HQD for sustaining ISO certification and licensing. Prepare RHS hospitals for accreditation processes.
  8. Ensure 100% compliance in HIMS Nursing Module in coordination with the HIMS coordinator and HQD. Support implementation and monitoring tasks in the nursing module as per institutional requirements.
  9. Identify training gaps and plan and organize nursing and paramedical staff training in coordination with HQD/HDS, ensuring that all scheduled training sessions are conducted with 100% compliance.
  10. Supervise, measure, and improve post-training performance to ensure quality healthcare services provision to patients.
  11. Develop a mechanism for nursing assistant training programs for paramedical staff at all levels in coordination with the School of Nursing and HQD.
  12. Coordinate with the Principal of Riphah College of Nursing for clinical training of college students at RHS Hospitals and support their training program according to rules and standards.
  13. Achieve implementation of Riphah Mission and Islamic Ethical Values by developing and monitoring mechanisms reflecting these values in every course of action and behavior.
Requirements
  • Post RN B.Sc. (Nursing) or Generic BSN degree with 10-12 years of experience leading healthcare organizations.
