Senior Software Engineer Position

  • Create custom IP analysis applications for one of the world's largest patent portfolios.
  • Develop applications using the latest web technologies to meet the dynamic needs of legal partners.

Job Overview:

  1. Understand and analyze functional requirements and translate them into well-engineered code.
  2. Take ownership of assigned user stories with minimal supervision.
  3. Guide junior team members on development standards and best practices.
  4. Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes.
  5. Manage priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members.

Required Skills:

  1. Full stack development in Java Web Applications.
  2. UI development using web technologies such as Angular/React, Java 8+, Python, Relational & NoSQL databases, Spring, Hibernate, Apache Solr, Messaging system, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, ES6, and TypeScript.
  3. Development experience in BDD or TDD approach.
  4. Knowledge of AWS, Cloud, and Micro Services is a plus.
  5. Ability to analyze requirements, design, code reviews, deployments, and product development.

Education and Experience:

  1. 3+ years of IT-relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
  2. 3+ years of any combination of academic or work experience with Full-stack Application Development.
  3. 1+ year of any combination of academic or work experience with Data Structures, algorithms, and data stores.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in software development with reputable organizations.
  • Proficiency in Java 8 or higher, Python, Groovy, Spring, Hibernate.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Good understanding of data structures and algorithms.
  • Hands-on experience in full-stack development and building user interfaces using technologies like Angular/React JS and other necessary web technologies.
  • Exposure in building cloud-native software preferably with AWS.
  • Exposure in designing and developing data models using RDBMS (Oracle, MySQL, etc.) and NoSQL (MongoDB).
