OR Technician

The Operating Room (OR) is a high-pressure environment that requires meticulous attention to detail and excellent communication skills. As an OR Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures.

Your responsibilities will include receiving and correctly identifying patients scheduled for surgery, checking patients scheduled for surgery in the OR, and ensuring proper takeover of patients' files. You will also be responsible for completing all per-operative documentation pertaining to patient's surgery, ensuring that all specimens are removed during surgery, correctly labeled and dispatched for necessary investigation as advised by the surgeon.

You will scrub for designated cases while displaying competence for different areas as per the scope of services of the hospital. Additionally, you will assist in the safe transportation of patients before and after surgery, timely report any problems with equipment to the concerned for rectification, and assist in preoperative patient preparation and coordinate with the scheduler in the smooth running of the OR list.

• A Matriculation with pre-medical background and Intermediate in any discipline.
• Completed Diploma in OT Technician from a reputable institution.
• Preferably one year of relevant experience.
• A good understanding of basic anatomy/physiology and OR terminologies, and ability to identify surgical instruments.
• A good understanding of sterilization and disinfection procedures.
• Good communication skills and ability to handle work pressure.
• Willingness to work in shift duties and at different locations.
