**Job Title: Data Governance and Cultural Ambassador**

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the position of Data Governance and Cultural Ambassador. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that our organization's data is well-managed, trusted, and used responsibly across the organization.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining data governance policies, processes, and frameworks. They will also drive meetings and working sessions with data owners and champions to understand existing data processes, pain points, and requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Governance: Assist the Data Services Manager in implementing and maintaining data governance policies, processes, and frameworks.
  • Drive Meetings: Drive meetings and working sessions with data owners and champions to understand existing data processes, pain points, and requirements.
  • Document Processes: Document data processes, flows, definitions, and responsibilities across business functions.
  • Data Quality Metrics: Monitor data quality metrics, carry out root cause analysis and support the resolution of data quality issues.
Data Culture

The Data Governance and Cultural Ambassador will also champion a strong and inclusive data culture by supporting data literacy initiatives, creating learning resources, and showcasing impactful data use. They will help coordinate training sessions, lead internal communication efforts around data, and promote responsible, confident data use across all levels of the organization.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree: A Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Information Systems, Data Science, Business Administration).
  • Experience: At least 4-5 years of experience working in data governance, data management, or a related coordination role.
  • Data Governance Principles: Understanding of data governance principles, including data quality, stewardship, and metadata management.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent organizational and project coordination skills, with proficiency in collaboration tools and data platforms.

The ideal candidate will have a proactive, collaborative, and inclusive approach to driving change across teams, with basic knowledge of data visualization and analytics tools.
