About the Role

This is a pivotal position within a leading financial services organization, where you will play a key role in driving innovation and adoption of cutting-edge technologies.

The Global Customer Platform unit seeks an expert who can enhance and develop architecture platforms utilizing modern cloud-based technologies, while supporting the adoption of strategic global solutions used firm-wide.

  • Provide expertise to cross-functional teams on technology selection and solution architecture
  • Develop multi-year roadmaps aligned with business and architecture strategy and priorities
  • Lead efforts to modernize and replace legacy platforms with target-aligned components
  • Support engineering teams on design, creation, and review of code with a focus on security, quality, reliability, and scalability
Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Technology Expertise: Provide guidance to cross-functional teams on technology selection and solution architecture
  2. Roadmap Development: Develop multi-year roadmaps aligned with business and architecture strategy and priorities
  3. Legacy Modernization: Lead efforts to modernize and replace legacy platforms with target-aligned components
  4. Engineering Support: Support engineering teams on design, creation, and review of code with a focus on security, quality, reliability, and scalability
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Formal training or certification on software development concepts and 10+ years of applied experience
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Expertise in one or more programming language(s)
  • Deep knowledge in software, applications, and architecture
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred qualifications include experience with Cockroach database, platform modernization, and designing for large-scale, highly resilient, and performant enterprise applications.
