Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Technical Consultant (OCI Specialist)

We are seeking a skilled Oracle Infrastructure Technology Consultant with strong experience in implementing and managing Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments end-to-end.

The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing, deploying, and supporting scalable, secure, and high-performance OCI solutions to meet business and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the architecture, deployment, and configuration of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) solutions.
  2. Provide end-to-end implementation of OCI services including compute, storage, networking, identity and access management (IAM), database services, monitoring, and disaster recovery.
  3. Design and implement migration strategies from on-premise or other cloud platforms to OCI.
  4. Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to ensure OCI solutions align with enterprise standards and business objectives.
  5. Monitor and manage OCI environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and cost optimization.
  6. Establish and enforce OCI security, governance, and compliance best practices.
  7. Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or Resource Manager.
  8. Troubleshoot and resolve OCI infrastructure issues, incidents, and performance bottlenecks.
  9. Prepare technical documentation including architecture diagrams, deployment guides, and operational procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 3-5 years focused on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure certifications (e.g., OCI Architect Associate/Professional) highly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with OCI core services: Compute, Block/Object Storage, Networking (VCNs, Load Balancers, etc.), IAM, and Autonomous Database.
  • Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments and integration with on-premise systems.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g., Shell, Python, Terraform, Ansible).
  • Experience with backup, monitoring, security, and disaster recovery solutions in OCI.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud, ODA or Exadata Cloud Service is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite or Oracle Fusion applications.
  • Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines in OCI environments.
