Job Description

The primary objective of this role is to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) management systems within a project. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations and standards.

This pivotal role involves:

  • Leadership & Strategy: Providing comprehensive orientation and onboarding sessions for new project staff, delivering tailored training sessions, organizing seminars and technical talks, and maintaining meticulous training records.
  • Compliance Management: Ensuring adherence to HSEQ regulations and standards, conducting regular audits, and identifying risks.
  • Training & Development: Designing and delivering training programs on HSEQ practices and procedures, promoting continuous learning, and awareness of HSEQ issues among employees.
  • Incident Management: Overseeing incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions, analyzing incident data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Reporting & Communication: Preparing and presenting HSEQ reports to senior management, highlighting performance metrics and areas for improvement, and serving as the primary liaison for HSEQ matters.
  • Continuous Improvement: Initiating and managing HSEQ improvement projects, encouraging employee engagement, and participation in HSEQ initiatives.
Requirements
  • Degree or Diploma in a related field with relevant HSEQ certifications/accreditations.
  • Experience in implementing effective QA frameworks and structures in projects.
  • Strong understanding of health, safety, environmental regulations, and quality management systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to conduct training sessions and workshops effectively.
  • Experience with incident investigation methodologies and reporting.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and performance metrics related to HSEQ.
