Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and driven Senior Embedded Systems Specialist to lead our team in the development and enhancement of internal applications and firmware. In this key role, you will be responsible for independent development, optimization, and improvement of embedded systems within our organization.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Firmware Development: Develop and enhance embedded firmware to meet internal application requirements, utilizing strong hands-on experience in software development and processor-oriented C/C++ programming for embedded systems.
  • Application Development: Contribute to the development and further enhancement of internal applications focused on embedded systems, ensuring seamless integration between hardware and software.
  • Optimization & Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve existing firmware to optimize performance, functionality, and reliability.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient communication and collaboration.
  • Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware-related issues in embedded systems.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain clear, concise documentation of development processes and improvements to ensure quality control and knowledge sharing.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the reliability and stability of firmware and applications through rigorous testing and debugging processes.
Requirements

Key Qualifications:

  • Education: Completed IT training or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: Strong hands-on experience in software development, specifically with processor-oriented C/C++ programming for embedded systems.
  • Electronics Knowledge: General understanding of electronics and embedded systems design.
  • Work Style: Self-motivated with an independent working style and the ability to manage multiple tasks with foresight and dedication.
  • Problem-Solving: Solution-oriented approach with the ability to identify and address challenges proactively.
  • Team Collaboration: Excellent ability to work within a team, contributing to collective success while also thriving independently.
Preferred Skills & Experience

Desired Expertise:

  • Embedded Systems: Experience with microcontrollers, embedded software development, and low-level programming.
  • IoT Communication Protocols: Knowledge of IoT communication technologies such as MQTT, CoAP, HTTP, WebSockets, and LPWAN (e.g., LoRa, NB-IoT, Sigfox).
  • Version Control: Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, especially in a remote working environment.
  • Tool Familiarity: Experience with embedded development tools, debuggers, and hardware platforms.
  • Continuous Improvement: Passion for continuous learning and improvement, staying updated with the latest trends in embedded systems and firmware development.
