Software Quality Assurance And Testing Professional

This role is responsible for ensuring the quality of software products through various testing methodologies.

• Develop and Maintain Test Cases: Create and update test cases, scenarios, and scripts to ensure thorough QA testing (manual and automated).
• Provide Work Estimates: Offer estimates of work efforts for a work request to the QA Lead/Manager.
• Status Reports: Provide regular status updates on current workload to the QA Lead/Manager.
• Development Team Participation: Actively participate in development teams to map plans for future product phases.
• Quality Assurance Guidelines: Proactively assist in defining Quality Assurance guidelines for the software development process.
• Evaluate Product Requirements: Evaluate product requirements and functional specifications to develop effective test cases and scenarios.
• Liaison with QA Lead and Project Manager: Liaise with the Quality Assurance Lead and Project Manager in scheduling pre-development quality assurance and post-development test execution as needed.
• Premier Quality Assurance Testing: Provide premier Quality Assurance testing of assigned software products.
• System Testing: Conduct system testing of enhancements and fixes.
• Requirements Review: Review requirements and technical design docs for test case, scenarios, and test script development.
• Defect Tracking: Document, report, and track defects found during testing, launch, and product usage.
• User Training: Administer and/or assist in user training.
• QA Standards Implementation: Assist in implementation of QA standards and continual improvement activities.

• Programming Skills: Experience with high-level computer languages (Java & D3/Pick preferred) in creating or maintaining test applications, test harnesses, and/or test frameworks (class or work projects) or experience running off-the-shelf test applications and automation suites (JUnit).
• Database Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of MS-SQL and ability to understand and modify existing SQL test cases or creation of new SQL to meet test requirements.
• Test Automation Tools: Familiarity with Win Runner, Load Runner, Test Director, and QuickTest Pro is strongly preferred.
