Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with strong expertise in Autodesk Inventor to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will bring at least 4 years of hands-on experience in 3D mechanical design, product development, and engineering documentation. You will be responsible for designing, modeling, and improving mechanical components and assemblies, ensuring they meet functional, manufacturable, and cost-effective requirements.

In this position, you will have the chance to work on various projects, from conceptual design to production. You will be responsible for creating detailed 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings using Autodesk Inventor. Additionally, you will create and maintain engineering documentation, including BOMs, technical specifications, and manufacturing drawings.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, R&D, and quality) to optimize designs for production. This includes performing tolerance analysis, fit, and functional checks to ensure design reliability. You will also conduct design revisions and implement engineering changes based on feedback.

Sometimes, you may need to support prototype development, testing, and validation of mechanical designs. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and safety regulations.

Other responsibilities include participating in DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) reviews. Finally, you will provide technical support during the product lifecycle, from concept to production.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor (3D modeling, parametric design, simulation tools).
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes (CNC machining, sheet metal, welding, injection molding, etc.).
  • Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and industry drafting standards.
  • Experience with PDM/PLM systems (preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
