Procurement and Supply Chain Professional

The role of the Assistant Manager Supply Chain is to identify, select and build relationships with potential suppliers who can benefit the organization.

Data analysis and cost reduction are key aspects of this position. The successful candidate will analyze data, perform cost analyses and value chain analysis to improve margins and reduce costs.

Sourcing and developing imports product wise is also an essential responsibility of this role. This involves managing and overseeing overall supply chain operations, including budgeting, planning, purchasing and inventory of materials, distribution, packaging, logistics, and quality issues.

To be successful in this role, the candidate must be able to make recommendations to improve productivity, quality and efficiency of supply chain operations. They must also be able to create integrated processes among operations, purchasing, inventory management, distribution and logistics.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of integrated supply chain and logistic concepts, as well as knowledge of ERP software. They should also be familiar with planning and forecasting systems and have a strong analytical mind.

Skills required for this role include trainings-skills, numeracy and IT skills, interpersonal and negotiation skills, organizational and planning skills, self-motivated, results-oriented and high adaptability.
