Job Description

The Professional Development Lead will play a key role in supporting teachers at two of our schools in Karachi, focusing on improving educational outcomes and opportunities for children. The incumbent will be responsible for conducting weekly planning meetings with teachers, co-teaching and model teaching where needed, and developing needs-based professional development programs.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of improving teacher performance and student achievement, and will be committed to ongoing professional development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting weekly planning meetings with teachers to support lesson planning and improvement.
  • Co-teaching and model teaching where needed to enhance teacher skills and confidence.
  • Developing needs-based professional development programs to address teacher gaps and improve student outcomes.
  • Mentoring and coaching teachers to improve their classroom management and instructional strategies.
  • Collaborating with subject leads and project managers to develop interdisciplinary learning projects and shared professional development activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in teaching and/or educational leadership.
  • Proven track record of improving teacher performance and student achievement.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
