Web Developer/Programmer

We are seeking skilled web developers to design and develop innovative, reusable web-based tools for progressive online activism and community building. Our team works closely with project managers, strategists, and designers to create specifications and recommend the use of new technologies.

Job Responsibilities:
  • We collaborate with project managers and development team members to develop detailed specifications and ensure timely project completion.
  • We provide project estimates during sales processes, including expertise required, total development hours, etc.
  • We attend client meetings during sales and development processes.
  • We work with clients and project managers to build and refine graphic designs for websites, requiring strong skills in Photoshop or equivalent applications.
  • We convert raw images and layouts into CSS/XHTML themes.
  • We determine suitable architecture and make recommendations to clients.
  • We communicate progress and delays to project managers efficiently.
  • We apply outside-the-box thinking to deliver high-value services to clients.
  • We alert colleagues to emerging technologies and opportunities for integration.
  • We develop innovative web-based tools for activism and community building.
  • We maintain excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or significant equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with HTML/XHTML and CSS.
  • Minimum 2 years of web programming experience, including .NET, PHP, ASP, or JSP.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with relational database systems such as MySQL, MSSQL, or Oracle, with a good understanding of SQL.
  • Experience with extensible web authoring tools.
  • Development and implementation of open-source software projects.
  • Strong self-management skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
