Android Developer Position

We're seeking a skilled Android developer to join our team.

The successful candidate will have strong experience with Android app development, including proficiency in Java and Kotlin, as well as a thorough understanding of user experience design principles.

Responsibilities will include designing, maintaining, and building applications for Android, ensuring the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and ship new features.

Requirements for the position include a BS in Computer Sciences or a related field, 5+ years of strong Android development experience, and hands-on experience with Java, Kotlin, and Android Studio.

Candidates should also have experience implementing complex, intuitive UX designs, take on an existing app and optimize it fully, and be proficient in Git and Sketch. Additionally, they should have a sound knowledge of STLC/SDLC lifecycle and Agile methodology and Scrum.

As an ideal candidate, you'll have a strong track record of delivering stable and on-time releases of complex products, and excellent communication skills. Familiarity with 3D modeling and game development would be a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, maintain, and build applications for Android.
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Collaborate with the Customer team (on-shore/off-shore) to define, design, and ship new features.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Sciences or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of strong Android development experience.
  • Hands-on with Java, Kotlin, and Android Studio.
  • Experience implementing complex, intuitive UX designs.
  • Take on an existing app and optimize it fully.
  • Event analytics including the use of Firebase.
  • Proficient in Git and Sketch.
  • Sound knowledge of STLC / SDLC lifecycle.
  • Demonstrable track record of delivering stable and on-time releases of complex products.
  • Understanding of Agile methodology and Scrum.
