Job Title: Payroll Supervisor for a UK Organisation

Role Overview

The role of a Payroll Supervisor involves overseeing payroll operations for multiple clients, ensuring accurate and efficient processing in accordance with UK regulations.

Main Responsibilities
  • Client Payroll Management: Responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, guaranteeing timely and accurate execution according to client-specific requirements.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure payrolls comply with HMRC requirements, including PAYE, NIC, statutory payments, and pensions.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the payroll team, providing training and support for high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Client Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding payroll queries, updates, and consultations on payroll-related matters.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously assess payroll processes to streamline and enhance accuracy, addressing any pain points unique to client payrolls.
  • Reporting and Reconciliation: Generate accurate payroll reports for clients, and perform payroll account reconciliations, resolving discrepancies with finance teams as needed.
  • Year-End and Statutory Reporting: Oversee year-end payroll activities, including P60s, P11Ds, and other statutory reporting.
  • System Administration: Utilize and maintain payroll software, ensuring data integrity and customization as required by individual clients.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement checks and controls to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance, and regularly update payroll processes to align with changing legislation.
Key Requirements
