AutoCAD Optimization Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an AutoCAD Optimization Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and optimizing AutoCAD drawings to ensure accuracy and uniformity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and Formatting Drawings: You will prepare and format AutoCAD drawings, organizing drawing objects such as lines, polylines, and blocks to meet specific requirements.

  • Ensuring Consistency: Ensure that all shapes are created using polylines or blocks rather than individual lines or groups, maintaining a consistent standard across all drawings.

  • Maintaining Layer Properties: Manage layer properties such as color, line type, and line weight to ensure consistency across all drawings.

  • Collaboration and Review: Collaborate with internal teams to refine and enforce best practices for AutoCAD drawing standardization and review existing CAD files to align with standardized layer structures, naming conventions, and formatting requirements.

  • XREF Management: Utilize external references (XREFs) for efficient drawing management, link, manage, and update XREFs to ensure consistency across multiple drawings, and troubleshoot XREF-related issues, optimize file structures, and maintain best practices for layering, naming conventions, and drawing organization.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD: Proficiency in AutoCAD with experience in creating, modifying, and structuring drawings.

  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure stencils/blocks are correctly structured.

  • Familiarity with Autodesk Products: Familiarity with other Autodesk products, BIM360, RevIT, and related drafting software.
