About the Role


A Software Architect for Enterprise Web Applications at Creative Chaos is an experienced professional who is primarily responsible for designing and developing server applications of various software platforms, including writing RESTful APIs to be consumed by client applications. This role ensures that the functionality, security, and performance of the server application meet the design specifications and are completely bug-free. The successful candidate will also have a responsibility to mentor their juniors and build team strength through training.



Key Responsibilities



  • Analyze business requirements to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Estimate assigned tasks and develop project plans to ensure timely completion
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code and unit tests
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless integration of components
  • Tune code for enhanced security and performance
  • Maintain systems by fixing any existing issues and implementing new features
  • Update issue tracking software to ensure accurate tracking and reporting
  • Provide regular status updates to stakeholders
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and expectations
  • Control versions of code using Git and other version control systems
  • Research new technologies and trends to stay up-to-date with industry developments
  • Lead a team of software engineers and provide guidance and mentorship
  • Upgrade skills and knowledge to stay current with industry demands
  • Evaluate candidates for open positions and participate in the hiring process


Requirements and Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 3-7 years of experience in software development and architecture
  • 3-7 years of experience in Spring Boot & Hibernate
  • Good knowledge of MicroServices and experience working with tools like Git, Maven, JFrog, UDeploy
  • Expertise in developing enterprise-level web applications and RESTful APIs using MicroServices, with demonstrable production-scale experience
  • Demonstrate strong design and programming skills using JSON, Web Services, XML, XSLT, PL/SQL in Unix and Windows environments
  • Strong background working with Linux/UNIX environments and experience with Shell scripting
  • Experience with PostgreSQL as DB Engine, deployed on AWS, and Relational DB Skills for PostgreSQL + Terraforms
  • Passion for staying up-to-date with the latest happenings in the tech world and an attitude to discuss and bring those into play
  • Strong agile/scrum development experience and collaboration skills within distributed project teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
