Accounting Expertise: A Key Team Member

The ideal candidate for this position will possess a deep understanding of financial reporting and general ledger structures, ensuring timely and accurate monthly and year-end financial information. This role involves collaborating with colleagues to support overall department goals and objectives, as well as monitoring and analyzing department work to develop more efficient procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of monthly and year-end financial information.
  • Collaborate with other accounting and operations staff to support overall department goals and objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Respond to inquiries from regulatory agencies, Accounting Supervisors and other finance managers regarding financial results, special reporting requests and the like.
  • Assist with the year-end audit process.
  • Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
  • Work with other Accounting staff to establish goals and objectives for each year and monitor and advise on the progress to enhance the development of processes for recording and reporting.
  • Support Accounting Supervisors with special projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business with an emphasis in Accounting or equivalent experience.
  • One to three years of experience in financial reporting/general ledger area.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills are essential.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Independent and team player with ability to take on new tasks with a high level of difficulty.
