Job Title: Senior MongoDB Database Administrator

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Database Administrator.

  • Responsibilities will include providing 24x7 production support for MongoDB databases.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and be able to perform root cause analysis and provide solutions.
  • Maintenance of high availability & replication setups is also a critical requirement.
  • Independently handling production issues and providing resolutions within agreed SLA's is essential.
  • Experience with performance tuning, crisis calls, MIR, DQR, sharding environments, replication, monitoring tools, backup and recovery, Ops Manager, logging mechanism, and journaling are required.
About the Role

This role involves working on complex database issues, troubleshooting various types of critical issues in production environments, and utilizing various monitoring tools to ensure optimal database performance.

A strong understanding of MongoDB architecture, its features, and capabilities is necessary to excel in this position.

Key Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Extensive experience with MongoDB, including its data models, query optimization, and indexing strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of database administration, including backups, restores, and maintenance tasks.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure, including AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
