Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Child Protection Officer to undertake statutory duties and responsibilities within the Education Welfare Service relating to children of compulsory school age.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Gathering data on underprivileged families identified by the foundation.
  2. Maintaining confidential records of support for all students referred.
  3. Ensuring all children of compulsory school age receive education.
  4. Securing admission for these children in the appropriate class, arranging school uniforms, books, monthly school fees, stipends, and school transportation.
  5. Supporting children in returning to full-time education where they may require additional assistance or have attendance issues.
  6. Collaborating directly with schools to provide guidance on reducing absenteeism and implementing measures to address persistent absentee pupils.
  7. Conducting regular supervisory visits to schools.
  8. Monthly collection of students' progress data.
  9. Regular meetings with school teachers to discuss progress.
  10. Submission of monthly progress reports to senior management.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Statutory Duties: Undertake statutory duties and responsibilities within the Education Welfare Service.

  • Record Keeping: Maintain confidential records of support for all students referred.

Requirements:

  • Experience: A minimum of three years of experience working in an inner-city school or educational institution.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external colleagues.
  • Transportation: Self-transportation is essential, as the selected candidate will be required to travel regularly.
