Business Process Improvements

As a Business Analyst I, you will focus on driving operational excellence and improving process quality within S&P Global's Commercial Operations.


Responsibilities

This role involves:

  • Analyzing technical solutions to improve operational effectiveness and excellence.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business process improvements.
  • Engaging with stakeholders to understand requirements and resolve issues.
  • Providing technical expertise to support incident management and resolution.
  • Creating comprehensive technical documents to ensure knowledge sharing and consistency.
  • Executing the Month-end close process through effective collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Supervising activities between resources and facilitating smooth workflow for service delivery.
  • Building Knowledge Base articles, Playbooks, and documentation to support business operations.
  • Identifying opportunities for functional improvements and enhancements to maximize available technology effectiveness.
  • Monitoring user feedback and areas of concern, and engaging with Scrum teams and Product Owners for suggestive areas of improvement.
  • Staying up to date with current field practices to enhance service standards and delivery.
  • Understanding end-to-end solution architecture and integrations.
  • Remaining knowledgeable of current technology trends and researching new trends for maximum results.

Requirements
  • At least 1 year of experience working with Salesforce and/or on Technical Support Teams in related fields.
  • Basic understanding of Agile best practices.
  • Good understanding of development environments and testing processes.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to articulate problems and provide comprehensive solutions.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or equivalent.
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience collaborating with clients on business process enhancements.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of CPQ or other OTC Applications will be an added advantage.
  • Understanding of the Business Analyst role in support teams.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce Application will be an added advantage (some combination of Opportunity Management or Quote Management implementation knowledge is a plus).
