Job Title: Senior Health Actuary

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated health actuary at a senior level to join our dynamic consulting team. In this role, you will lead and support on a variety of actuarial projects, focusing primarily on health insurance business.

You will be responsible for data analysis, product pricing, loss reserving, and providing strategic consulting to our clients. This position offers an excellent opportunity to advance your career in a collaborative and innovative environment.

We value candidates who have hands-on experience with medical product development, product pricing, and actuarial reserving. If you have exposure to Python and machine learning/predictive modeling techniques, that's a plus

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead actuarial projects related to health insurance pricing, medical cost forecasting, identifying cost drivers, and offering solutions for cost reduction.
  • Develop and review medical claim cost models, including trend analysis and IBNR estimates.
  • Provide actuarial support to clients on ad-hoc requests, focusing on burn cost calculations, cost drivers, and containment measures.
  • Detailed IBNR setting on overall level and segment-wise depending on client requirements.
  • Prepare and present technical reports, summaries, and presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Mentor junior actuarial analysts and support team knowledge sharing.
  • Review work of junior analysts before forwarding for final review to senior management.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in actuarial sciences or related field.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex actuarial concepts to non-actuaries.
  • Experience in medical product development, product pricing, and actuarial reserving.
  • UAE medical insurance market knowledge preferred but not mandatory.
  • Prior knowledge of Qlikview, Tableau, PowerBI preferred.
  • Exposure to Python and machine learning/predictive modeling techniques.
