Key Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate with government departments/agencies to obtain necessary permissions for Corrosion Control jobs.
  2. Perform rectification/maintenance of installed CC stations according to specified standards.
  3. Apply coating and wrapping to pipelines to achieve optimal CC operations.
  4. Conduct field tests including Pipeline Current Mapping, Close Interval Potential Survey, structure potential, Direct Current Voltage Gradient, soil resistivity, etc.
  5. Plan recoating/rectification of pipelines based on test/survey results.
  6. Assist in survey, design, and data collection.
  7. Prepare charts and tables and present them to management.
  8. Design CC systems, including anode type, quantity, location; rectifier location, test station locations, and other design features.
  9. Install sacrificial anode systems for pipeline protection against corrosion and conduct post-installation surveys.
  10. Implement policies and procedures regarding corrosion control of assets and undertake required corrosion control work for pipelines and systems.
  11. Prepare survey reports and findings to highlight coating-related deterioration.
  12. Revalidate Pipeline Integrity Assessment and identify vulnerable sections.
  13. Plan and coordinate Root-Cause-Analysis and Fitness for Service assessment and propose replacement plans for pressure equipment and pipeline.
  14. Procure necessary materials and equipment on a timely basis.
  15. Monitor and check the status of coating of under construction and new pipeline projects.
