About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Project Officer to join our team in supporting project implementation in various districts.

Our Organization:

Sustainable Social Development Organization (SSDO) is a research-based non-governmental advocacy organization committed to contributing to the well-being of society through establishing an institutionalized system of social development and a responsible citizenship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough field assessments independently or as part of multidisciplinary teams.
  • Mobilize engagement and liaison with project partners, including universities, government officials, media, and targeted community members, for their support in project activities.
  • Support the project manager in developing knowledge bases and content for mobilization activities, capacity building, social media campaigns, and other related tasks.
  • Ensure strong documentation and timely reporting of programs, providing reports, lessons learnt documentation, stories of change, and other program-related documentation when required.
  • Collect, manage, and maintain program data in soft and hard copies in a timely manner.
  • Build long-term relationships through networking and promotion of project activities with relevant stakeholders.
  • Support the program team in organizing visits.
  • Provide support to the project team in achieving project results.
  • Coordinate the organization of meetings, workshops, conferences, trainings, and related activities relevant to the project implementation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum bachelor's degree in social sciences or any relevant field of education.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years' work experience in the development sector, especially in project implementation on themes including rule of law, democratic governance, gender-based violence, youth development, and citizen engagement.
  • At least half of the experience should be related to coordination, project management, community outreach, government liaison, and event organization.
  • An active social media user, with expertise in Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and vlogging on different social and political issues.
  • A deep understanding of program management and reporting.
  • A proactive approach to communication and information sharing.
  • Experience working on migration issues and projects.

Languages: Excellent command of English and Urdu - verbal and written.
