Job Title: Director of Research Operations

Description:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the NUST Research Portal, with a focus on developing and enhancing research publications, conferences, and editorial activities databases. Additionally, they will oversee the development of workflows for accurate AAR record-keeping and report generation.

They will also be responsible for coordinating NUST Conferences, Workshops, and Symposiums, including the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensuring harmony with funding agency policies.

The successful candidate will analyze and provide reports on research publications to support decision-making and visibility for stakeholders. They will also resolve day-to-day queries and issues related to research publications and conferences.

The job requires strong communication skills, computer literacy, experience in office management tools, and data analysis. The ideal candidate should have published a full-length article in an international journal and possess knowledge of research management systems and publication lifecycles.

Strong management skills, experience in a research lab or industry, and knowledge of programming languages or databases are highly desirable. Familiarity with United Nations SDGs is also preferred.

This role involves providing support in various cases, including sponsorship of research visits abroad, conference organizing, and financial awards for paper publications. The successful candidate will also liaison with research funding agencies, attend events, and submit reports to Senate, Ministries, and Government stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They should be able to work effectively in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
