Network Systems Specialist Role

A forward-thinking IT organization seeks an accomplished Network Systems Specialist to oversee and maintain clients' network services and infrastructure from a remote work environment. This position involves providing technical guidance, implementing industry best practices, and taking a technical lead within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor network and server infrastructure, adhering to standard working hours.
  • Collaborate effectively with the team, demonstrate strong customer focus, and exhibit a sense of ownership.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, as well as contribute to a knowledge database.
  • Liaise with third-party vendors and managed service partners to deliver high availability and on-demand services.
  • Manage incidents, service requests, and follow change management processes for production services teams.
  • Maintain high system availability and minimize downtime through continuous monitoring of key systems.
  • Make recommendations for system improvements, optimizations, and efficiencies.
Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Proven cloud technology experience in platforms like Azure and O365.
  • Familiarity with Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
  • Expert-level Windows Server Administration skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of standard infrastructure technologies, including virtualization, backup, storage, Active Directory, monitoring, and certification authorities.
  • Working knowledge of REST APIs and experience in VoIP.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in application and server infrastructure administration, hypervisors, Microsoft SQL Server Administration, and cloud platforms like Azure.
