Accounting and Financial Expert

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as an Accounting and Financial Expert.

About the Role:
  • Day-to-Day Bookkeeping and Financial Reporting: Perform day-to-day bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting for clients in Dubai, ensuring timely completion and accuracy.
  • VAT Filing and Compliance: Prepare and file VAT returns as per UAE regulations, maintaining compliance and minimizing risk.
  • Corporate Tax Compliance: Assist in corporate tax compliance, including tax calculations, returns, and advisory for UAE clients, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Financial Record Management: Maintain and update financial records in Zoho Books, Xero, or QuickBooks, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Account Reconciliation and Compliance: Reconcile accounts and ensure compliance with UAE tax laws and financial regulations, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements for client review, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Client Query Handling: Handle client queries related to accounting, VAT, and tax matters, providing prompt and accurate responses.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the finance team to ensure timely reporting and compliance, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
Requirements:
  • Experience in Accounting and Tax: Proven experience in accounting, tax compliance, or bookkeeping, with a strong understanding of UAE taxation and financial regulations.
  • UAE Tax Knowledge: Strong knowledge of UAE VAT laws, corporate tax regulations, and IFRS accounting principles, with the ability to apply this knowledge in practical scenarios.
  • Accounting Software Proficiency: Proficiency in accounting software such as Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or Xero, with the ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Remote Work Ability: Ability to work remotely while maintaining high productivity and meeting deadlines, with excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills in English for client interaction and reporting, with the ability to adapt to different communication styles and preferences.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a strong academic record and relevant coursework.
  • CA Inter + Articles: CA Inter + Articles completed is preferred, demonstrating a high level of expertise and professionalism.
  • Experience in Accounting and Tax: Minimum 3+ years of experience in accounting, VAT, and corporate tax compliance, with a strong track record of success and growth.
  • Dubai-Based Client Experience: Prior experience handling Dubai-based clients or UAE tax regulations is an advantage, with a deep understanding of local market requirements and expectations.
