Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Network Operation Engineer with expertise in Cisco equipment, Linux OS and VSAT technologies to join our team.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position that requires working in shifts to provide 24/7 support to our customers. As a Network Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Deployment: Design, configure, and deploy network solutions using Cisco equipment and VSAT technologies to meet business requirements.
  • Network Maintenance: Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams to assess network requirements and provide recommendations for network improvements or upgrades.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor network performance and security, identifying and resolving any issues in a timely manner.
  • Security Measures: Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, creation of VLANs, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  • Satellite Communication: Configure and manage Yahsat VSAT, iDirect, Comtech terminals and satellite communication systems to ensure reliable connectivity.
  • Documentation: Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.
  • Professional Development: Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends related to networking and satellite communications.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as needed.
  • On-Call Support: Participate in on-call rotations and respond to network emergencies outside of regular business hours.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Certification: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Proven experience designing, implementing, and managing Cisco-based network infrastructures.
  • Routing and Switching: Strong understanding of routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP) and switching technologies.
  • VSAT Systems: Experience with VSAT systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Network Security: Solid understanding of network security principles and best practices.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Communication: Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Prioritization: Ability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Linux OS: Solid understanding of Linux OS and best practices.
  • Language Proficiency: English speaking and writing proficiency, with an IELTS score of 5.5 or higher.
