About the Role:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Backend Engineer with expertise in Ruby on Rails, AWS, and containerized environments.

The successful candidate will work on developing and maintaining backend services for our application, focusing on scalability, security, and efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop reliable and scalable backend services in Ruby on Rails
  • Develop, deploy, and manage applications on AWS, optimizing for cost, performance, and scalability
  • Work with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) to ensure applications are portable, secure, and resilient
  • Collaborate with front-end and product teams to design APIs and ensure a smooth user experience
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues and improve the performance of existing services
  • Continuously improve the architecture, reliability, and performance of our backend systems
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in backend development with a focus on Ruby on Rails
  • AWS Services and Best Practices
  • Containerization and Orchestration Technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • RESTful API Design and Development, GraphQL is a plus
  • Database Design and Management (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
  • Solid Understanding of Software Engineering Principles and Object-Oriented Programming
  • Experience with CI/CD Pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Excellent Problem-Solving Skills and Ability to Debug Complex Issues
  • Strong Communication Skills and Collaborative Mindset
