Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax & Accounting Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of accounting standards, quality assurance policies, and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • ACCA/CA/CPA/CMA qualified or pursuing
  • Proficient in VAT and Tax Computations
  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience in an accounting firm
  • Excellent knowledge of Accounting standards
  • Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
  • Knowledge of quality standards, quality assurance policies, and procedures
  • Proficient in English

Responsibilities:

  1. Interact proactively with clients to address inquiries, concerns, and issues
  2. Conduct in-depth interviews to understand clients' financial situations
  3. Address and resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally
  4. Recommend financial products and services that meet clients' needs
  5. Advise clients on laws related to VAT, CT, AML, ESR, UBO, etc.
  6. Stay updated with tax laws and regulations, providing current guidance
  7. Assist clients in understanding and complying with tax requirements to avoid penalties
  8. Calculate taxes accurately following tax codes and regulations
  9. Prepare a range of tax returns for individuals and small businesses
  10. Help clients leverage tax codes to maximize benefits
  11. Identify deductions and credits to minimize tax liabilities
  12. Oversee VAT and CT registration requirements and thresholds
  13. Verify past tax returns and ensure records are reconciled
  14. Refer to tax law handbooks for complex returns ensuring compliance
  15. Manage bookkeeping tasks, including payables and receivables
  16. Maintain petty cash and coordinate bank deposits
  17. Keep meticulous records of client accounts for accuracy and compliance
  18. Review financial records and analyze income statements and expenditures
  19. Update financial trackers and databases regularly
  20. Ensure tracking systems are accurate and accessible
  21. Use electronic filing software to prepare and file tax returns
  22. Provide clients with copies of their completed tax returns
  23. Prepare weekly/monthly reports for management
