Procurement Director

The Procurement Director is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive procurement strategies that address both IT-related needs and the construction of the new office building.

This includes overseeing procurement of IT products, services, and solutions to meet the company's technological needs, as well as managing IT contracts, negotiations, and renewals.

In addition, the Procurement Director will lead the procurement process for the construction of the new head office, including sourcing construction materials, contractors, and subcontractors.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies.
  • Oversee procurement of IT products, services, and solutions.
  • Manage IT contracts, negotiations, and renewals.
  • Lead the procurement process for the construction of the new head office.
  • Sourcing construction materials, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Negotiate favorable terms and pricing with suppliers.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations of vendors.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Education:
  • Masters degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, or Information Technology.
  • Certifications in procurement, project management, or construction management.
  • Experience:
  • At least 10 years of experience in supply chain management roles, with a minimum of 5 years in the same position.
  • Proven track record of leadership in supply chain management roles.
  • Experience with Lean Construction or other advanced procurement methodologies in construction.

You will also need:

  • Skills:
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of procurement strategies, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
  • Experience with procurement software, ERP systems, and tools tailored to both IT and construction needs.
  • In-depth understanding of the construction industry, including materials, contractors, project timelines, and legal compliance.
  • Solid understanding of IT procurement, including managing licensing, hardware, software solutions, and vendor relationships.
  • Ability to balance competing priorities and manage high-value projects effectively.
  • Analytical mindset to leverage data for insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration across teams.
  • Sound business acumen with a deep understanding of market dynamics and industry trends.
  • Proficiency in pricing software, analytics tools, and advanced Excel functions.
