Business Intelligence Specialist

We are seeking a Business Intelligence Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for driving business growth through advanced data analytics, automated reporting, and predictive modeling.

In this role, you will work closely with our finance and management teams to create and optimize dashboards, automate financial processes, and develop statistically grounded forecasting models to enhance profitability and operational efficiency.

Main Responsibilities:

  • You will ensure the accuracy of financial data during the month-end close, focusing on P&L accuracy and efficiency.

  • Conduct detailed P&L analysis, including unit costs, labor control, and business unit performance.

  • Identify opportunities to streamline close processes through automation and data integration.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • You will design and automate comprehensive management reporting packages, including dashboards to monitor sales, gross margin, expenses, and productivity.

  • Develop and maintain interactive dashboards using data visualization tools to provide real-time insights for the Management Team.

  • Perform variance analyses against budgets, forecasts, and historical data to highlight trends, risks, and opportunities.

  • Act as a business partner to the Management Team, providing actionable insights to optimize profitability.

Prediction and Data Modeling:

  • You will build and maintain predictive forecasting models using statistical methods and data modeling techniques.

  • Collaborate with Finance and Management to produce annual budgets and monthly forecasts grounded in quantitative analysis.

  • Leverage advanced analytics to project business performance and assess strategic initiatives.

Automation and System Improvement:

  • You will automate repetitive financial processes, such as report generation and data consolidation, to improve efficiency and accuracy.

  • Identify and implement systems improvements to enhance data accessibility and reporting capabilities.

  • Support special projects focused on cost reduction, profit improvement, and technology integration.
