The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the evolution of our platform, ensuring it remains cutting-edge and efficient. As a technical leader, you will spearhead architectural decisions, drive technology modernization initiatives, and take ownership of our unified web application.

Key responsibilities include designing, architecting, and developing new features and systems across the platform, leading ongoing technology modernization initiatives, taking ownership of our unified web application built on Next.js with Payload CMS, integrating clinic portals, admin interfaces, and patient-facing features.

You will also be responsible for architecting and implementing scalable backend services using serverless technologies (AWS Lambda) and modern APIs, leading the migration from our legacy multi-application architecture to a unified, modern platform, implementing and optimizing our content management system using Payload CMS for marketing, blog, and dynamic content.

Additionally, you will design and build robust integrations with healthcare clinic systems (EMRs, scheduling platforms), develop and maintain data processing pipelines using AWS S3, Athena, and Glue for healthcare analytics, enhance and maintain CI/CD and deployment pipelines to Vercel for frontend applications.

Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure, including Lambda functions, API Gateway, CloudFront, and S3, implement Infrastructure as Code using CDK/Terraform, ensure platform reliability, performance monitoring, and scalability across our distributed architecture.

Collaborate closely with product, design, and other stakeholders to translate complex healthcare business requirements into robust technical solutions, mentor and guide other engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and collaboration.

Analyze and solve complex performance and scalability challenges within our distributed cloud environment, drive technical decision-making and establish best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment.
