About the Position:

Job Title: Biochemist

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Biochemist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for sampling water, testing microbial count, preparing media according to Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), culturing microbes, identifying bacteria, and performing staining.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Sampling and Testing: Collect water samples, conduct microbial count tests, and prepare media as per SOP requirements.
  • Culture Microbes: Cultivate microbes in a controlled environment, identify bacteria, and perform staining techniques to analyze their properties.
  • Data Analysis: Record and analyze data from experiments, making recommendations for improvement based on findings.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to share knowledge, best practices, and ideas to improve processes and outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Education and Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biochemistry, Microbiology, or a related field.
  • Skills and Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a laboratory setting, with proficiency in microbiology, biochemistry, and laboratory techniques.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Adaptability and Continuous Learning: Willingness to learn new techniques, adapt to changing priorities, and stay up-to-date with industry developments.
