Project Lead - Software DevelopmentJob Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to take on a leadership role in our software development team. As a Project Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

  • You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, QA, and product ownership, to plan, execute, and deliver projects.
  • Your primary focus will be on prioritizing tasks, managing resources, and monitoring progress to ensure project success.
  • Effective communication with stakeholders, including external clients, is crucial in this role, requiring you to manage expectations, address concerns, and provide regular updates.
  • In addition, you will be responsible for identifying and mitigating risks, developing contingency plans, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • A vital aspect of this role is creating and maintaining project documentation, including feature specifications, user stories, user journey diagrams, change requests, milestones, and roadmaps.
  • Scrum activities such as backlog grooming, estimation, sprint planning, and sprint retrospectives will also be part of your responsibilities.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates must possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a technology or management-related field.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience working in a similar capacity.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, a strong work ethic, and high motivation are essential.
  • Familiarity with Agile Development & Scrum methodologies is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in using tools such as Jira/Trello, Slack, Google Meet, Sheets & Slides is required.
  • While not necessary, software development expertise or prior knowledge is a significant advantage.
  • Familiarity with design/mock-up tools such as Sketch/Figma is also an asset.
