Lead Core Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Platform Architect to build a fully secure fintech platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of a scalable, secure, and reliable platform, ensuring that it meets industry standards.

  • Develop and lead the design and development of a scalable and secure fintech platform from scratch.
  • Collaborate closely with product and design teams to define platform requirements and features.
  • Maintain and extend the platform's core architecture, including front-end and back-end systems.
  • Develop user interfaces in ReactJS PWA and back-end systems in NestJS with authentication and authorization controls.
  • Evaluate and ensure that the platform is fully secure, meeting industry standards for security, data encryption, secure communication protocols, and authentication and authorization controls.
  • Implement testing frameworks to ensure the quality and reliability of the platform.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the platform meets business and regulatory requirements.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and developers on the team.
  • Ensure compliance and spearhead the compliance process for standards such as PCI, PA DSS, ISO etc.
  • Plan projects and make informed project management decisions.
  • Implement and maintain DevOps and QA processes for reliability, scalability, security, and maintainability.
  • Develop and maintain continuous integration and deployment pipelines using tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, or TravisCI.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot production systems, responding to incidents effectively and efficiently.
  • Implement and maintain security controls, ensuring compliance requirements are met.
  • Work with development teams to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities.
  • Maintain and update infrastructure, including databases, servers, and storage systems.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development, focusing on large-scale and complex systems.
  • Strong expertise in front-end technologies (Nextjs, ReactJS PWA) and back-end technologies (NestJS, Node.js, SQL/NoSQL databases).
  • Experience in developing secure platforms with strong authentication and authorization controls.
  • Excellent understanding of software development best practices, including Agile methodologies, code reviews, and version control.
  • Leadership and mentoring experience in guiding teams of engineers and developers.
  • Knowledge and experience of ISO certifications and PCI / PA DSS compliance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, and excellent collaboration skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
