Integration Business Analyst Role

Gather and analyze integration requirements from business stakeholders to ensure seamless data exchange across various platforms.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including analysts, clients, and IT professionals to understand and document integration needs.
  • Analyze external vendor, partner, and country integration requirements, creating data mappings, defining API specifications, and identifying business use cases.
  • Provide training and support to end-users and other IT team members on integration-related topics, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
  • Perform API testing using tools like Postman and SoapUI to validate API requests and responses, ensuring timely issue resolution.
  • Conduct System Integration Testing (SIT) to guarantee data integrity and system functionality.
  • Collaborate with the integration development and operations support teams to troubleshoot and resolve integration issues in a timely manner.
  • Perform gap analysis and assess impacts resulting from changes or enhancements to existing APIs, ensuring proactive decision-making.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of integration processes, including data mappings, workflows, message formats, validations, and transformation rules.
  • Ensure version control for all integration documentation, keeping it up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
  • Plan and execute the rollout/migration of services to new APIs, validating integration post-implementation.
  • Present regular status updates and progress reports to supervisors and management, fostering transparency and accountability.
  • Create detailed integration specifications documents covering integration flows, data mapping, message formats, sample API payloads, response codes, and logging criteria.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience in IT business/integration analysis, integration development, or related field.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and techniques.
  • Experience working on integration projects, documenting integration specifications, and API testing.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong understanding of API concepts, protocols, authentication mechanisms, and database design.
  • Ability to create detailed integration documents, API specifications, and use cases.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies, sprint, and release concepts.
  • Knowledge of SQL and ability to perform API testing using tools like Postman or SoapUI.
