Visual Design Specialist for 2D Art Projects

We are seeking a highly skilled Visual Design Specialist to join our team and contribute to the creation of captivating 2D art projects. As a key member of our creative team, you will play a crucial role in bringing our game worlds to life with engaging visuals.

Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate closely with internal teams to understand visual requirements and project objectives, ensuring that your designs align seamlessly with the game's art style and narrative.
  2. Create high-quality 2D assets, including concept art, character designs, sprites, textures, and user interface elements, that meet performance and memory constraints while maintaining visual fidelity.
  3. Iterate on designs based on feedback from stakeholders, playtesting sessions, and technical constraints, balancing creativity and practicality.
  4. Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, techniques, and tools in game art and graphics technology, sharing insights and best practices with the team.
  5. Contribute to the development and maintenance of art pipelines, asset libraries, and style guides, streamlining workflows and ensuring consistency across projects.
  6. Support marketing efforts by creating visually appealing promotional artwork, banners, trailers, and social media content that effectively communicate our brand identity and resonate with our target audience.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in art, graphic design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience, and demonstrated proficiency in industry-standard software for 2D art, such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Strong understanding of fundamental art principles, including composition, color theory, anatomy, and perspective, is also essential.

Requirements:
  • The candidate must be proficient in 2D asset creation for games and have a diverse portfolio showcasing their capabilities across various styles and genres.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills are required, as well as the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Familiarity with South Asian art is a strong plus.
  • Able to multitask effectively and manage time efficiently to meet project deadlines and milestones consistently.
