Job Title: Plant Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Operations and Maintenance Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our power plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of plant operation and maintenance are conducted in a safe, efficient, and environmentally friendly manner.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Production Planning: Develop and implement production plans to maximize plant efficiency and minimize downtime.
  2. Plant Safety & Environment: Ensure that all safety protocols and environmental regulations are adhered to at all times.
  3. Predictive and Preventative Maintenance: Implement predictive and preventative maintenance programs to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
  4. Human Resources: Manage and develop the skills of plant personnel to ensure they have the necessary knowledge and expertise to perform their roles effectively.
  5. Operational Control & Reporting: Monitor and report on plant performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  6. Inventory Control: Manage inventory levels to ensure that spare parts and equipment are readily available when needed.
  7. Quality Assurance: Ensure that all work is carried out to the highest quality standards.
  8. Techincal Feedback: Provide technical feedback to stakeholders on plant performance and any areas for improvement.
  9. Performance Appraisal: Conduct regular performance appraisals of plant personnel to ensure they are meeting their roles and responsibilities.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in operations and maintenance management, preferably in a power plant setting.
  • Strong understanding of total quality management principles.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
